Nurse sought for Neuro and Stroke Department – Longer-term assignment

Are you a registered nurse looking to work in an environment where neurology, stroke care, and medical inpatient care meet in a varied and developing work setting?

We are now looking for a registered nurse for a longer-term assignment within neuro and stroke care during the autumn and winter of 2026/2027.

About the assignment

You will work on a care ward within medical specialties with a focus on neurology and stroke care. The operations are characterized by varying patient flows and close multidisciplinary collaboration.

Typical tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Care of inpatients
• Stroke monitoring and neurological assessments
• Medication management
• Documentation and patient follow-up
• Collaboration with doctors and other professions
• Supervision of students and observing staff may occur

Work may also take place on other medical units within the operational area as needed.

Work environment & methods

The operations use the medical record system Cosmic with the associated NOVA Ward, which means working via a tablet with access to medical records, medication lists, test results, and other patient information.

After introduction and dialogue with the operations, the nurse may also become eligible to independently handle stroke alarms according to the operations' routines and care chains.

The work involves day, evening, night, and weekend shifts according to the schedule.

Introduction

• Workplace introduction is offered
• Clinical introduction for those who have not previously worked within the operations

Period & scope

• Period: Week 36–4
• Scope: Approximately 712 hours
• Working hours according to schedule

We are looking for you who

• Are a registered nurse
• Have experience from medical inpatient care, neurology, or stroke care
• Are confident in independent assessments and prioritization
• Have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude
• Thrive in an operation with varying care needs and a high medical focus

Meritorious experience:

• Experience in stroke care and neurology
• Experience with Cosmic and NOVA Ward
• Experience in emergency care or stroke alarms

Requirements for presentation

The following documents need to be available upon presentation:

• Updated CV
• Adult CPR training certificate
• Two current references from the latest assignment or employment
