Welcome to us at Handens Primary Care Centre, a well-functioning and pleasant healthcare facility.

Handens Primary Care Centre is located adjacent to Haninge Centre, with restaurants, grocery stores, and good public transport connections. We have rehabilitation services and a child health centre. On Dalarö, in a beautiful archipelago setting, we have a satellite clinic.

Handens Primary Care Centre currently has nearly 22,000 registered patients, and we are growing rapidly. We have an integrated home care service with approximately 250 registered patients and a designated home care physician.

We have a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellors, and rehabilitation coordinator. We have two podiatrists. Nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, osteoporosis, elderly care, and weight loss. We have a minor orthopaedics clinic in a team with a physiotherapist and a minor emergency clinic with close cooperation with the local emergency department. We run an SMO clinic (coordinated medical care for people with disabilities). We are one of four such clinics in Stockholm.

Job Description

With us, you will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks and methods of primary care. You will meet patients with a broad spectrum of mental health issues and varying care needs. In this role, you will develop your competence in structured diagnostics and assessment of care levels, classification of different types and degrees of mental illness, as well as the implementation of psychoeducational interventions and psychological treatment.

Graduate psychologist or counsellor. Experience working in primary care is meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the mission of primary care and values professional treatment of both patients and colleagues. You are structured, flexible, and confident in working independently and making your own decisions. Good teamwork skills and personal suitability are decisive.

The position is subject to the condition that it does not need to be filled for internal transfer, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Services (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
