Do you want to design solutions that help reduce climate impact, preserve biodiversity, and create a resource-efficient society? We are looking for a Digital Designer with Art Direction (AD) competence who wants to take an active role in shaping our digital expression and, together with skilled colleagues and suppliers, create solutions that are user-friendly, accessible, and visually cohesive.

The position is located within the Digital Channels Unit, part of the Communications Department. We work with steering, developing, and monitoring the use of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's digital channels. The unit supports the entire organization in web publishing and is responsible for the Agency's visual identity.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Digital Designer with AD competence, you are responsible, in close collaboration with other roles, for developing and further developing visual concepts and design solutions for our digital channels. The work includes both strategic and operational design work from idea and concept to finished production and quality assurance. You collaborate with, for example, developers, case handlers, web editors, digital strategists, and external suppliers. Moving forward, the assignment is expected to develop towards a clearer overall responsibility for the digital expression, increased user centricity, continued development of design processes and working methods, and an overarching responsibility for the Agency's design system.

Your Qualifications

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in graphic design, digital design, visual communication, or web design.
• Documented education or equivalent experience in design for digital interfaces (UI).
• At least 5 years of experience as a digital designer, web designer, or Art Director.
• Documented experience in design for web and digital platforms.
• Experience in developing design concepts from idea to finished delivery.
• Experience acting as a client for graphic design, digital design, and web services, including requirement setting, briefing, and follow-up of deliveries from external suppliers/agencies.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience leading or quality-assuring design work and graphic design.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Education in UX/-design or interaction design.
• Experience in developing and maintaining design systems.
• Experience in developing and maintaining a visual identity.
• Experience collaborating in agile teams.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and technical prerequisites on the web.
• Experience with procurement.
• Experience working in the public sector.
• Experience in visualizing statistics and data.

You are strong in form and have a good ability to create solutions with a clear and well-thought-out visual expression. You work in a structured manner and can keep design processes together from idea to finished delivery. We also want you to be curious and keep up to date with new trends, tools, and working methods within digital design.

About the Position

The employment is a permanent full-time position. The location is in Stockholm or Östersund. Start date is as soon as possible according to agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
