YOUR ROLE

As a substitute with us, you step into different operations based on where the need is, which means your working days can look different. Within Care and Elderly Care, you can work in home care or in a care and elderly residence, where you support elderly people in their everyday lives through both practical tasks and personal care.

Within Support and Service, you work with providing support in everyday life to people with disabilities. This can involve working in group housing or service housing, where you contribute to structure, participation, and meaningful activities. In operations for children and young people, you get to be part of their everyday life and create safe and developmental contexts. As a personal assistant, you base your daily work on the individual's needs and wishes.

What is common to all assignments is that you are there as a support in everyday life – someone who creates security, builds relationships, and makes people feel seen.

Working hours vary depending on the operation and can include days, evenings, weekends, and nights, both in the form of on-call nights and awake nights.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a person who inspires trust and creates security in your meeting with others. You have a calmness within yourself and can handle situations that change, sometimes with short notice, without losing focus or your approach to people.

You find it easy to collaborate and adapt to different situations and people. At the same time, you can take responsibility and work independently when needed. It shows that you care about others and want to contribute to a good everyday life for those you meet.

Having education or experience within care and elderly care, social work, or pedagogical operations is positive, but the most important thing is your attitude and your willingness to do a good job.

The work can be physically demanding, which means you need to have good physical fitness. You also need to be able to speak and write in Swedish, as communication with both colleagues and the people you meet is a central part of the work, as is documentation.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Skellefteå Municipality is a workplace where we do things together. We collaborate across boundaries and support each other in everyday life, while simultaneously working to create security and quality for those we are there for.

As a summer substitute, you become an important part of this work. You will join teams where the engagement is high and where your contribution makes a direct difference. At the same time, you get the opportunity to try different operations, gather experiences, and develop in your role.

It is a job where no day is like the other – but where every day matters.

GOOD TO KNOW

We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a cover letter, you answer some selection questions and attach an updated CV.

As part of the recruitment process, a Swedish language test is conducted. If you can provide passing grades in basic Swedish or equivalent, this can replace the language test.

The position is subject to legal requirements for certificate of good conduct. Prior to a potential job offer, you must present a certificate of good conduct for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities, or for work with children according to LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), depending on the operation. You are responsible for ordering the correct certificate from the Police Authority.

Employment type: Summer job / Holiday work.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months.
