ABOUT THE ROLE:

In the role of Component Engineer, you will work broadly with electronic components and support the organization with technical questions related to component selection, data management, and development projects. You will become an important part of a cross-functional team that collaborates closely with several parts of the organization, including design, purchasing, sourcing, project management, and external manufacturers.

The role suits you if you want to work at the intersection of technology, quality, and coordination. You will contribute technical expertise in development projects and help ensure that the right components are used to create sustainable and efficient technical solutions. The team works closely together across several locations, meaning you can be based in Gothenburg, Jönköping, or Stockholm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the role, you will among other things:

• Work with technical issues related to electronic components
• Support designers and development teams in component selection
• Monitor components, manufacturers, and technical changes
• Manage and quality-assure component data, parameters, and metadata
• Collaborate with internal contact points such as purchasing, sourcing, design, and project management
• Have contact with external manufacturers and suppliers
• Contribute to the development and improvement of working methods, processes, and structure within the team
• Work in databases and handle large amounts of technical data

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a university degree in e.g., electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar
• Have an interest in electronic components and technical systems
• Have a good understanding of technical documentation and structured data management
• Are accustomed to working in databases or systems where large amounts of information are handled
• Have very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience with advanced Excel
• Knowledge of SQL

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site.
