In the role of Operations Engineer, you will work operationally and analytically to ensure that our power grid maintains high quality and complies with current regulations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding and interest in how a power grid functions and thrive when working with complex issues and analyses.
You will become part of a small, cohesive team where collaboration, technical expertise, and responsibility are central.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Conducting proactive analyses of power quality in our facilities and proposing measures when necessary
- Disturbance analyses and investigations
- Providing power quality expertise within the company, e.g., to operations and/or in development and innovation projects
- Customer contact and collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and internal partners
- Monitoring the external environment and implementing EU and authority directives as well as current laws
- Handling settlement with eSett (including preliminary and definitive share factors)
- Acting as backup for the metering data responsible person, such as collecting metering data and administering metering collection systems (including Aidon, Zynergy, and surrounding systems)
- Establishing routines, documentation, and reports related to power quality
- Ensuring that routines for continuous control, maintenance, and follow-up are followed
- Acting as power grid operator when necessary (possibly on-call duty as agreed)
Your qualifications
- University education with a focus on electrical power/energy. Equivalent competence acquired in other ways may be considered equal
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Previous experience and competence
- Deeper knowledge regarding data analysis and understanding of programming
- Experience from the electrical power industry within local or regional networks
- Experience in network calculations, dimensioning, and power grid design
- Experience working with power quality and measurement technology
- Good knowledge of relevant regulations for power grids
- Good understanding of metering data and message flows within the metering process
- It is an advantage if you have practical experience in:
- Electrical installation work and measuring equipment
- Work with power quality meters (Unipower) and analysis tools (e.g., Quant Insight)
- Integration and data quality issues related to metering data
