We are now looking for an engaged nurse for our geriatric clinic

The role of the nurse

As a nurse with us, you have a holistic view of the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for nursing care, observation, medication management, and collaboration regarding patients with varying care needs. We strive for the patient to be involved in their care, which means that information and communication are very important parts of your work.

You care for the patient in the best possible way based on individual needs and proven experience in medical nursing. We work in teams with different professions, and together with other staff members, you work towards good collaboration within the clinic.

As a nurse, you lead and distribute the work in the team. In this position, you will work at the geriatric clinic, which includes the Parkinson clinic, memory clinic, and osteoporosis clinic. You will also have some duties on Care Unit G.

What we treat

At Medical Care Unit G, we treat people with stroke/TIA, neurological diseases such as epilepsy, migraine, etc., as well as acutely geriatric multi-morbid elderly persons. With us, you will gain broad competence as we treat patients with many different complex diseases.

The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö is a developing operation where we treat patients in need of specialized medical and geriatric care. Within the clinic, there are several care units with different focuses and directions.

A development opportunity for you as a nurse is to become a stroke coordinator via internal training. As a stroke coordinator, you coordinate direct admissions, together with the ambulance, emergency department, or primary care centers, for persons suspected of having a stroke/TIA.

Job duties and conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. The position is located at the geriatric clinic during daytime hours, with some duties on the ward. Start date is by agreement, but we would like you to start with us as soon as possible.
