Siemens Energy is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist with overall responsibility for developing, coordinating, and improving inventory management within our production and operational flows. The role involves creating a balance between material availability, capital tie-up, production efficiency, and sustainable resource usage. The position is analytical and broad, with a strong focus on improvement work and cross-functional collaboration. The role reports to the Production Manager and provides excellent insight into the entire value chain – from technology and planning to finance and production.

How you will make an impact

  • Drive and coordinate initiatives to optimize inventory from a holistic perspective.
  • Analyze inventory structure, turnover, inventory valuation, and capital tie-up, and implement improvement measures.
  • Optimize inventory levels based on both operational needs and financial goals.
  • Develop methods for inventory control and create stable material flows.
  • Identify obsolete, excess, or technically outdated material in close collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, planning, purchasing, and finance, and use ERP/MRP (e.g., SAP) as a decision support tool.

What you bring

  • Relevant academic education in engineering, industrial economics, supply chain, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in or near manufacturing industry, preferably with a connection to inventory, production, or supply chain.
  • Understanding of how material flows, production planning, and technical changes interact.
  • Ability to work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Good collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English is required.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

About the Team

The team consists of production managers and a team assistant, where collaboration is central to ensuring the right inventory levels and support for production. The role also involves close collaboration with business administration as well as frequent contact points with engineering, planning, purchasing, and finance. The work is carried out in close cooperation with several functions within supply chain, providing a broad understanding of the business and good opportunities to influence methods and results.

Within the Gas Services division, we offer energy solutions with zero or low emissions based on our gas turbines, gathered under one roof together with steam turbines and generators.
