WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE
As a Customer Manager at RIX, you are the face towards RIX participants. RIX is a socially critical infrastructure, Sweden's settlement service for payments in Swedish kronor. The participants in RIX are credit institutions, securities companies, clearing organizations, securities depositories, payment institutions, e-money institutions, central counterparties, and the Swedish National Debt Office. You have a central role in the Riksbank's relationship and communication with RIX participants, where you represent the Riksbank in meeting forums together with the participants, while internally working closely with the daily operations of RIX. You work analytically with the production of reports and written materials and participate in projects and assignments that ensure the RIX system is developed according to new requirements from the business and the external environment. The role requires good planning and collaboration both internally and externally.
You are responsible for leading and driving the business's work within the framework of participant management together with your colleagues, which means that you:
- Are responsible for the application process for new participants
- Coordinate implementation and training of new participants in RIX
- Are responsible for monitoring existing participants to ensure that current rules and conditions are met
- Represent the Riksbank and coordinate various meeting forums together with the participants, where communication is primarily conducted in English
- Participate in various investigations and projects within the bank where you contribute your expertise
The challenges ahead are to ensure together with colleagues that the RIX system and business are adapted to the requirements of the business and the external environment. The position also includes scheduled incident readiness. Participating in the incident organization involves on-call readiness 24/7 according to a rolling schedule.
THE TEAM
The Riksbank consists of nine departments. The Department for Payments has the task of providing a payment system for the settlement of payments in Sweden, supplying the country with cash, and working with payment analysis and innovation. RIX operations are distributed across three units: the RIX Operations unit, the RIX Administration unit, and the RIX Business Development unit, all of which are part of the Department for Payments. You are part of a team of 12 employees consisting of customer managers, risk and continuity managers, analysts, and system operators. You have several internal and external contact areas, such as RIX participants, other authorities, and other central banks. The participants in RIX are credit institutions, securities companies, clearing organizations, securities depositories, central counterparties, e-money institutions, and payment institutions, as well as the Swedish National Debt Office.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for you who have, for the position, a relevant university education at least at the bachelor's level, e.g., in economics, political science, systems science, or related fields. You have experience working closely with customers and the ability to establish and maintain customer relationships. You have a strong interest in financial infrastructure and have work experience in the area of payments and a good understanding of how the Swedish payment system is structured. Knowledge of the RIX system or other critical infrastructure systems is meritorious, as is experience working as a project manager or in a similar role.
It is particularly important for the role that you have an interest in leading and collaborating with others and that you can absorb and communicate complex issues in a natural and simple way.
You are furthermore a stable and mature person with good judgment who has the ability to professionally adapt your communication depending on the recipient and is driven by delivering high quality. You work in a structured manner and are skilled at presenting and communicating your message. You are proactive, flexible, and can easily adapt to new circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are good at independently driving and prioritizing your tasks forward, both individually and together with others. Furthermore, you have a problem-solving analytical ability and are good at collaborating and are stimulated by collaboration with others. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities.
The position is classified for security and a security clearance, including register check, security clearance interview, and special background investigation, will be conducted for the final candidate. For some positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
