The Geriatric Centre is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A broad assessment of the elderly patient's medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity during illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in both inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on the patient's individual needs.

General Geriatrics, Ward 1, has 20 care beds with a focus on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation, as well as a so-called "fast track" for taking over patients from MAVA (Medical Acute Care Unit) and the Infectious Disease Clinic. We are looking for a couple of nursing assistants to join us at the General Geriatric Ward. Apply and help us complete our team!

We are very proud to run a Student Teaching Ward (SUA) where nursing and nursing assistant students independently care for patients under supervision. We welcome diversity, and in 2016, the ward became LGBTQ+ certified.

At our facility, nursing assistants play an important and obvious role in the care team, and your work contributes to patient-safe care of good quality. To grow in the professional role and provide the best care, we believe it is important to have well-being at work and the opportunity for continuous development.

As a nursing assistant, you perform nursing assistant tasks for a care ward, such as monitoring vital signs, wound care, sampling, etc.

Supervising students is part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with the elderly and puts the patient first. You have a good approach and adapt your care to the patient's different needs throughout the care process.

You are proactive, easy to collaborate with, and curious about new challenges. You take responsibility and thrive in an environment with varied tasks and varying intensity. You work in a team and independently, where teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail are qualities we value.

You have a nursing assistant education and a certified course in emergency care. We place great importance on personal suitability. Experience in supervising students is an advantage.

As of July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title nursing assistant within care and social services. You apply for the certificate of protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you have already received this certificate, we request that you attach it to your application.
