The advertised position is organized under the Prevention Department, which works to reduce the risks and consequences of fires. We do this through information, advice, education, and regulatory enforcement (inspection according to the Civil Protection Act (LSO) and the Act on Flammable and Explosive Substances (LBE), as well as permitting under LBE). We also respond to referrals in planning and building cases, as well as regarding serving licenses under the Alcohol Act.

Job Description

The position involves a combined role where you work both within our preventive operations as an inspector, while also being part of our training department where you will conduct training in fire safety, basic life support (BLS/CPR), and safety work within the rescue services' area of operations.

Responsibilities

As an inspector, you will work with varied tasks within the framework of accident prevention from a broad perspective. In the role of inspector, you will perform inspections and act as an advisory function for the building committees of the member municipalities, handling referrals in police and serving license cases. Additionally, you will serve as an instructor in our training activities, where you will, among other things, conduct fire safety and BLS/CPR training.

The position offers a unique combination of inspection work (approx. 50%) and training (approx. 30%), which for the right person can provide a varied and diverse job with the opportunity to combine two professional roles into one.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we look for documented experience from MCF's training, Inspection A, or a previous equivalent. Further education in the fire prevention area is meritorious, as is experience working with inspection activities. Additionally, you must have documented experience in conducting training and possess strong pedagogical skills.

To contribute to and understand the operations, we would appreciate experience from so-called "Blue Light" activities (emergency services) and a desire to meet and instruct people. If you have a background as a nurse (meritorious), you will better understand and contribute to the training activities and their development from a strategic perspective.
