Helicopter Squadron is recruiting Tactics Officers for the Execution Section.
About the position
As a Tactics Officer, you will serve at the squadron's Execution Section (S3). The section is responsible for leading operations in the here and now, with a planning window of up to six months. This is done by leading, monitoring, and evaluating the squadron's operations. Examples of tasks handled by the section include participating in and leading briefings, participating in production and flight mission planning including handling HELIBEG, and continuously collaborating with other units within the Swedish Armed Forces. Management of tasks and flight missions is carried out in collaboration with parallel and supporting units, including authorities and international partners.
During flight missions and exercises, the Tactics Officer may serve as a planning officer in the helicopter squadron's Mission Support Element. The Mission Support Element participates in flight mission planning and follows up on the execution of flight missions.
Main responsibilities
- Planning, coordination, and follow-up of the helicopter squadron's tasks and orders
- Reporting to higher command as well as parallel units
- Coordination of helicopter missions (HELIBEG)
- Being part of the helicopter squadron's staff and mission support during exercises and operations
- Participate in flight production planning for the current year
- Participate in functional development within the area of work
Qualifications
Requirements
- Commissioned officer or specialist officer OF1/OR6
- Category B driver's license
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who thrives in planning and leading planning work in a given task. This includes being solution-oriented and flexible to move the work forward. You must also have good collaboration and social skills, as several units and individuals are affected by the tasks. You should be able to handle people well based on their different needs and conditions, as the position also involves training personnel. Personal qualities will be given great weight during the selection process.

Employment type: Permanent full-time position. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.
Scope: Full-time. Evening and weekend duty may occur.
Work location: Luleå. Business travel occurs.
Position level: Minimum OR 6 / OF 1
Date of commencement: As soon as possible or as agreed
Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Swedish Armed Forces agreement.
The position is subject to international duty and wartime posting.

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and sea operational orientation that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally. Helicopter support is in demand for many purposes. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transports, command, reconnaissance, or guard duties. The Helicopter Wing therefore often participates in missions and exercises with other units, but also as support to society in various crisis situations.
Operating throughout Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the wing's size with over 950 employees provide variety in work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we are also responsible for Malmen Airport and Linköping Garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
