There is now an opportunity for you – the 1st Helicopter Squadron and its planning section are recruiting a Planning Officer/Planning NCO.

About the position

As a Planning Officer/Planning NCO, you will serve at the squadron's planning section (S 5/7). The section is responsible for the squadron's medium- and long-term planning. The section consists of both military and civilian staff. As a member of the planning section, you will work in a cohesive staff close to the core operations, which strengthens cohesion and simplifies work processes.

The planning section handles both development and planning work for the squadron's activities. Readiness planning is conducted together with other branches of the armed forces and the rest of the total defense, both nationally and with allies. During exercises and readiness periods, the planning section is part of the 1st Helicopter Squadron's staff.

Main responsibilities:

• Planning the squadron's participation in central exercises as well as own exercises within the squadron's framework.
• Planning for the squadron's and joint plans in different readiness levels and scenarios.
• Participation in the squadron's long-term production planning (B+3).
• Participation in the squadron's planned projects.
• Staffing positions in the squadron staff during exercises, readiness, and deployment.
• Support in budgeting.
• Work in the squadron staff's daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum rank: Officer/Specialist Officer OF2 / OR7.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and flexible. To move forward in the work, you need to be able to work both independently and collaboratively. You must also have good cooperation and social skills, as several units and individuals are often involved in work groups. Personal qualities will be given great weight during the selection process.

Other information

Employment type: Permanent full-time position. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

Scope: Full-time. Duty on evenings and weekends occurs.

Work location: Luleå. Business travel occurs to a limited extent.

Rank level: OF2 / OR7

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Swedish Armed Forces' agreement.

The position is subject to international duty obligation and war-time placement.

Helicopter support is in demand by many, for example for personnel, material, or medical transports, command, reconnaissance, or guard duties.
