• We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in school health care, general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine for the school health service's medical and psychological interventions.
• The scope of the position can be discussed, and there are opportunities for remote work.
• There is also an opportunity to undertake additional specialization in school health care within the framework of your employment, which includes regular supervision and clinical observations.

The Assignment

The medical school health service is an important actor in preventive work to preserve and improve students' mental and physical health, thereby contributing to students' development towards educational goals. School doctors play a key role in this work.

The reception activities involve standard school doctor duties with an emphasis on health care, students' working environment, and removing obstacles to students' learning. Examples include growth and development-related issues, school difficulties, neuropsychiatric issues, vaccination assessments, medical assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school, and back checks.

In your daily work, you collaborate closely with the municipality's 18 school nurses and your school doctor colleague.

You also collaborate with the operations manager on medical issues and in the work with patient safety, development, and quality assurance. You also cooperate with relevant departments and Region Stockholm in medical matters.

If you do not already have an additional specialization in school health care, there are good opportunities to complete specialist training (ST) in school health care within the framework of your service with us. Supervisors for this are available within the operation, and planning for further education, observations in other operations, and regular supervision is then made in your individual study plan together with your supervisor.
