Do you want to work in a smaller, nature-oriented setting where quality, care, and joy in cooking are at the center? We are now looking for an engaged and self-motivated chef for our kitchen at Skolan LÄR in Gustavsberg.

Skolan LÄR is located in the beautiful Hästhagen area, with the forest, meadow, and Kvarnsjön lake right next door. Here, we focus on small-scale operations, closeness, and quality – both in our teaching and in the food we serve our students every day. Today, we have approximately 120 students and will gradually grow into a preschool to grade 4 school with around 145 children.

At our school, all food is prepared from scratch by our own on-site staff. We work with premium ingredients, locally produced meat and fish, as well as organic products, to create delicious, varied, and nutritious meals.

About the role

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking responsibility and thrives working independently in a well-organized kitchen. You will have a central and important function in the operation, where your structure, efficiency, and planning skills make a significant difference in daily life.

The work is varied and includes among other things:

• Preparation and planning of meals
• Ordering goods and receiving deliveries
• Self-control and quality assurance
• Serving, dishwashing, and cleaning
• Ensuring compliance with laws and environmental, health, and safety regulations

We are looking for someone who appreciates order and routines, has good foresight, and likes to create a kitchen that runs smoothly and efficiently – even when the pace is fast. At the same time, it is important that you have a natural sense of service and enjoy interacting with children and colleagues.

We are looking for you who

• Have chef training or experience from large-scale kitchens/home kitchens
• Have a genuine interest in cooking and ingredients
• Are organized, responsible, and efficient in your work
• Enjoy working independently and taking initiative
• Have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude
• Have knowledge of food allergies
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
