ABOUT THE ROLE

As an escort and substitute caregiver, your main task is to provide a secure support system for the client both at home and out in the community, while also offering valuable relief to their relatives. This involves supporting the client in various activities according to their preferences, ranging from swimming, jogging, or having coffee in town, to spending time at home baking, playing games, or taking a walk. The goal is to enable the client's participation in society and create a meaningful daily life, while simultaneously providing much-needed respite for their relatives.

This role is perfect for you if you are looking for a flexible part-time job, as the position is a temporary hourly contract where you work on an as-needed basis and control your own availability. Working hours are not fixed in a schedule; shifts are usually scheduled for evenings and weekends. The number of hours varies depending on what the client is approved for, but typically ranges between 5 and 20 hours per month.

To be employed by Kura Omsorg, you must have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you can present a valid ID and/or submit a personal certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the role may involve solo work, night shifts, or tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as an escort.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply, meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
