Experienced Buyer with Knowledge in Polymer and Composite Production and Quality Sampling

PolyPlank is growing, and we are now looking for an experienced buyer with a background in composite material production and quality sampling.

We are seeking a full-time buyer for our operations in Färjestaden on the island of Öland. As a buyer with us, you will become a central part of our team, responsible for optimizing our purchasing processes, from supplier selection to quality control. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments to ensure we always have the right materials at the right quality and price.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for purchasing raw materials and components for our plastic production.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms.
• Ensure and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001.
• Perform quality sampling and documentation of composite materials.
• Collaborate with production and quality departments to optimize purchasing strategies.
• Stay updated on market trends and new materials.
• Planning of logistics and warehousing.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry, preferably in composite or polymer production.
• Knowledge and experience with CE marking.
• Knowledge and experience in quality sampling and material control.
• Ability to negotiate and build strong supplier relationships.
• Structured work approach and good analytical skills.
• Experience with business systems and Excel is a plus.
• Strong ability to build and maintain business relationships.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
