The demand for cognitive assessments is increasing, and the clinic has recently expanded its geographical catchment area. We are therefore in an exciting phase of development where we are growing and strengthening our team.

We are part of Capio Geriatrics Sollentuna and work in newly renovated and pleasant premises near Sollentuna center and public transport. The team consists of doctors, nurses, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, and an assistant nurse who together conduct specialized cognitive assessments in close multidisciplinary collaboration. Here, you will meet patients and their relatives during important life situations. We strive to offer a secure, structured, and evidence-based assessment where each profession contributes its expertise to the overall evaluation.

As a doctor here, you work with the assessment and follow-up of patients with suspected cognitive impairment and cognitive disease (dementia). You play a central role in the medical assessment and contribute, together with other professions, to the combined diagnostic evaluation in the team.

The duties include, among other things:

• Assessment and prioritization of incoming referrals

• Medical assessment and investigation according to regional guidelines, including but not limited to lumbar puncture

• Participation in diagnostic rounds and synthesis of assessment results

• Information about diagnosis to patient and relatives, as well as follow-up of symptoms and treatment

• Collaboration with primary care, municipality, and other healthcare providers as needed. Supervision of resident doctors (ST-läkare).

The position is permanent, with a 6-month probationary period. The scope is 50-100%.

We are looking for you who have a special interest in cognitive diseases and thrive in a multidisciplinary working method where medical assessment is integrated with neuropsychological and functional investigations.

You have a strong commitment to geriatric patients and their relatives, and feel a clear responsibility to contribute to their well-being. You are confident in your professional role, flexible, and unpretentious, with a desire to continuously develop and deepen your knowledge within advanced dementia assessments.

You are a licensed doctor with specialist competence within geriatrics, neurology, psychiatry, or general practice. Experience of cognitive assessments or work at a cognitive clinic is an advantage.

Good command of Swedish in speech and writing.
