Meal Service is a unit within the Municipal Executive Office that operates restaurants and kitchens in preschools, primary schools, high schools, senior restaurants, and residences within healthcare and social care services. At Celsius School Restaurant, we serve approximately 950 meals every day, and you will work alongside a few colleagues. We continuously develop our operations to stay at the forefront. For example, we are gradually increasing our organic purchases. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, but weekend work may occur.

Description of Duties

The duties of a meal assistant are very varied. You will plan and prepare salad buffets, assist in the production of hot meals, and help with serving. Your tasks also include washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and school restaurant, and other routine tasks in a large kitchen. In addition to having good knowledge of the ingredients in the food, you must be able to report on them to guarantee allergy-safe meals for our guests. Meals should always be presented in an appealing manner when served to guests.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in kitchen and restaurant operations, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You should also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Furthermore, documented experience of working in a kitchen and good knowledge of food hygiene are required. We would appreciate if you have computer skills and knowledge of the Office package. It is an advantage if you have education in special diets and knowledge of Mateo or other digital IT support for kitchen work. HACCP training is also a plus.
