Here you work together with employees in departments for communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement, and property, as well as the departments for quality and planning, security and sustainability, and the administrative office. The organizations for business and destination, as well as shared services, are also located within the Municipal Executive Office. The Municipal Executive Office serves as the link between the decisions of our elected officials and all municipal operations. Our mandate includes coordinating and driving overarching issues related to democracy, societal and business development, as well as ecological and social sustainability.

Meal Service is a unit within the Municipal Executive Office that operates restaurants and kitchens in preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, senior restaurants, and residential care facilities. Meal Service offers career opportunities for those passionate about cooking and service. With us, you have excellent opportunities to develop and grow in your professional role.

At Celsius School Restaurant, we serve approximately 950 meals daily, and you will work alongside a few colleagues. Celsius also prepares and delivers meals to two nearby preschools. We continuously develop our operations to stay at the forefront and are gradually increasing our organic purchases. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, but weekend work may occur.

Description of Duties

As a cook with us at Meal Service, you must be able to plan, prepare, and cook various meals according to the Meal Service menu, as well as plan and purchase food together with the other cooks in the kitchen. Taking responsibility for HACCP and actively working to reduce waste are considered essential. Baking bread and presenting the food in an appealing manner for guests are also standard duties for a cook with us. The position also requires good knowledge of special diet handling.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a culinary education or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have documented experience working as a cook and good knowledge of handling special diets. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.

Additional qualifications that are meritorious include:

• Education in special diets.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft 365.
• Education in need-adapted nutrition.
• Knowledge of diet data systems.
• Category B driver's license.
