We are looking for an English teacher for the lower secondary school (årskurs 7-9) at Skolhagenskolan in Täby who wants to make a real difference in the students' daily lives. The position is primarily focused on English, but it is an advantage if you are also qualified in other subjects, preferably mathematics.

About the position

In this role, you will teach English at the lower secondary level and help build a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment. You will become a key figure in the students' language development and work closely with colleagues, the student health service, and guardians. • Teach English at the lower secondary level and be responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up.
• Create clear, varied, and student-active lessons where all students have the opportunity to succeed.
• Work formatively with assessment and documentation according to steering documents.
• Participate in work groups, subject groups, and collegial learning to develop teaching.
• Use digital tools and clear behavioral support in teaching.
• Contribute to a positive climate where both students and colleagues feel safe.

About you

You are a person who likes structure but is not afraid to think outside the box when needed. You thrive in the classroom, are confident in your leadership role, and believe that relationships are key to learning. Above all, you have a genuine commitment to lower secondary students – with all that entails.

• Hold a teaching license with qualification in English for the later years of compulsory school.
• Have 1 year of teaching experience, preferably at the lower secondary level.
• Feel confident in steering documents, grading, and pedagogical documentation.
• Have good digital skills and use digital tools naturally in teaching.
• Communicate clearly, listen attentively, and professionally with both students and adults.
• See collaboration as a natural part of the job and are happy to share your expertise.
