For Autumn 2026, we are looking for you who hold a special education degree focusing on intellectual disabilities for adapted upper secondary education. You are a licensed teacher in Mathematics, Natural Science, and Entrepreneurship, and preferably in Swedish or English. The role includes mentorship and some coordination responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is highly engaged and easily builds good relationships with both students and staff.
• Is unpretentious, curious, solution-focused, possesses strong pedagogical skills, and is driven by collegial learning and shared ideas regarding teaching.
• Places students at the center, is passionate about your work, and has a great sense of humor.

About Vackstanäsgymnasiet

Vackstanäsgymnasiet is a non-profit, independent upper secondary school with boarding facilities. The school operates as a foundation with board members from the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Society for the Preservation of Rural Economy. The school is beautifully located in nature in the triangle between Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje, by Lake Vällingen.

We have approximately 275 students. Of these, 25 students attend the adapted upper secondary education within the programs "Property and Construction" and "Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakery." The remaining students attend the Child and Youth Program (Leisure and Health), Restaurant and Food Program (Chef, Baker/Pastry Chef), Nature Management Program (Gardening with a profile in Nature Guide), and the Arts Program (Visual Arts and Design with a profile in Textile Design).

Sustainability is important to us. We work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and economy. For example, we grow much of our own vegetables, have a clear program to create community for both students and staff, and are members of the National Association of Idea-Driven Schools.

Due to the school's geographical location, you must have your own car to commute to and from work.
