Statkraft has enabled clean energy for over 125 years. We do not see renewable energy as part of the solution – but as the solution. With us, you will have a future-oriented career with many opportunities. But we are not done yet – that is why we need you.

Why choose Statkraft

Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape the energy systems of the future. You will work close to the operations, take responsibility in important projects, and collaborate with some of the industry's leading experts. Together, we drive the energy transition forward – for our customers, society, and future generations.

About the role

As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for driving and leading the procurement process in hydropower projects from the early planning phase to the final contract. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, technical specialists, and sustainability officers to ensure cost-effective and sustainable deliveries in line with Statkraft's goals.

You represent the procurement function in the project and are a key person in ensuring that procurements are conducted in accordance with current legislation, Statkraft's procurement policy, internal procedures, and ethical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire procurement process – from strategic planning, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract signing to follow-up during project implementation and handover to the end user.
  • Ensure that procurements meet Statkraft's requirements for sustainability, safety, quality, and economy.
  • Contribute to project risk analyses and procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with technical disciplines (construction, mechanical, electrical, and control) to integrate commercial and technical requirements.
  • Draft and administer contracts in accordance with AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09, or equivalent standard agreements.
  • Act as Contract Manager in project meetings, construction meetings, and follow-up of contractors' performance.
  • Actively contribute to experience feedback and improvement work within the Procurement team.
  • Support O&M / Asset Operations with purchasing activities, including both operational and strategic purchases.
  • Drive sourcing activities in collaboration with the business and the Category/Sourcing Manager.

Project Types

The projects cover various types of contracts within hydropower, including construction, mechanical, electrical, and control installations. The role therefore requires a good understanding of the different contract forms and their commercial and technical prerequisites.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have the right mindset and competence, including experience working in complex project environments, preferably within hydropower or similar contracting:

Competence Requirements

  • Relevant technical or economic education, preferably a Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or project purchasing within infrastructure, energy, or construction/engineering.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience working with AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK 09.
  • Ability to drive multiple procurements in parallel, with a focus on structure, accuracy, and business acumen.
  • Understanding of sustainable purchasing and supplier follow-up from an environmental, social, and ethical perspective.
  • Good communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Personal Attributes

  • Analytical and structured with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business-minded thinking.
  • Ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
  • Engaged, responsible, and interested in sustainability issues.

Location: Stockholm, or another Statkraft location in Sweden (Sollefteå, Laholm, Östersund, Örnsköldsvik)
