About the Department

The Rehab/Stroke Unit is part of the Medical Center Southern Lapland and is one of three care units at Lycksele Hospital. At the hospital, we maintain close cooperation with primary and emergency care throughout Southern Lapland. We are a small hospital with great opportunities! Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe and included.

On the Rehab/Stroke Unit, we have 16 care beds for patients who:

• Have suffered a stroke.
• Need orthopedic or general rehabilitation.
• Undergo hip and knee prosthesis surgery (in collaboration with the Surgical Center).

Here, you work in well-functioning teams consisting of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, and dietitians.

You participate in the nursing care and medical handling of patients in close collaboration with other professional categories in our multidisciplinary team. Your work is highly varied, and you will work within stroke, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and palliative care. We are constantly developing nursing care, where our clinic vision reflects our work – Soft hands, sharp minds, warm hearts.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Even you who are in your final semester of the nursing program are warmly welcome to apply. We also offer a study salary during the last month of your education.

We want you to be engaged, responsible, and have a strong team spirit, seeing possibilities and solutions because you play an important role in our team. You must have the ability to prioritize between different tasks. The work requires good cooperation skills and high flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
