About the School

Practical Gymnasium in Skellefteå offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at the school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and fun learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Construction and Infrastructure, Vehicles and Transport, Sales and Service, Hotel and Tourism, Electricity and Energy, Care and Elderly Care. Currently, the school has approximately 150 students and 25 employees.

In the autumn, the school will move to Brogatan to newly renovated premises located near a football field, forest area, and sports halls. We are a small school where everyone knows everyone, and we help each other for the benefit of the students.

Your Role

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment starting on 10/8-25. You will teach and supervise our students in Physical Education and one additional subject, e.g., Natural Science, Mathematics, and together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team.

We see you as an important and driving force to develop the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you, like the other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning. This applies equally to students and colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Physical Education and preferably in more subjects. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the working world, and your biggest task is to guide them there!

What We Offer
