Welcome to us

The Health and Medical Care function (HS) in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 cross-professional teams and a home care team, with specialist competence in areas such as psychiatry, palliative care, dementia, and functional support. Together, we are approximately 460 dedicated employees who work every day to create safe and high-quality health care.

You will be part of HS-team 4, which covers the areas of Liljeholmen, Rosenlund, Österängen, Tenhult with the countryside, and Ödestugu. The area includes several operations, including Österängen Elderly Care Home, Ekhagen Short-Term Unit, Rosenlund Short-Term Unit, and Lindgården.

We operate from our team office in the Asecs area and work closely together across professional boundaries.

As a nurse, you are responsible for both planned and acute health care interventions and meet patients of different ages and life situations. The work is characterized by a high degree of independence where you, from a person-centered approach, make medical assessments and perform treatments and measures. You work to promote health, utilize the patient's own resources, prevent health risks, and motivate changes in lifestyle factors.

In this role, you collaborate closely with both regional primary care and inpatient care to create safe and individualized care. By combining medical competence with a holistic perspective, high-quality care is created that strengthens both health and quality of life for the patient.

The work also involves mentoring and educating nursing staff, patients, and relatives, as well as actively participating in development and quality work to ensure good quality in nursing care.

During evenings and weekends, we collaborate over a larger geographical area, and you perform health care interventions in the individual's home, regardless of housing form. This provides great variation and breadth in the assignment!

Your competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a warm, empathetic, and professional approach. You are secure and independent in your professional role and see every patient's strengths and needs. You are clear in your communication, have good collaboration skills, and are skilled at adapting your working method to different situations.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and are comfortable working in digital systems. Since the work takes place in various home environments, you need to have good physical mobility and be able to adapt your working method based on the prevailing conditions. A B-class driver's license is required as a car is used in the position.

Experience from short-term operations with a municipal focus is considered meritorious, as are knowledge of Combine, Cosmic-Link, and Pascal, as well as National Patient Overview (NPÖ).

Good to know

The recruitment is for a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement. Working hours are primarily during daytime on weekdays, but evening and weekend duty is also included. Weekend duty occurs approximately every fifth week.
