The Role and Responsibilities

Are you a study and career counselor with experience in upper-secondary preparatory programs and the language introduction program, who enjoys the challenges associated with this role in working with these programs and young people? Then this position at S:t Botvids Gymnasium might be for you. The programs you will be responsible for in the SYV (Study and Career Counselor) role are the Language Introduction Program and parts of the school's upper-secondary preparatory programs.

What We Offer You

The position offers you the opportunity for close collaboration with students, mentors, work teams, and the student health service, which you will be part of. You will have other study and career counselors as colleagues and will belong to Botkyrka Municipality's SYV network, which also includes primary school counselors. Further education via the Counselor Calendar is included in the position.

Who You Are

Requirements: We are looking for a study and career counselor with experience and competence regarding upper-secondary preparatory programs. We also seek a counselor with an eye for program plans, individual study plans, digital competence, and a willingness to familiarize themselves with the changes that GY25 entails for upper secondary education. We also look for a counselor with experience and competence in the language introduction program and a desire to work on developing well-functioning structures for work within this program.

Merits: Experience and good knowledge of upper-secondary preparatory programs are meritorious. Experience and good knowledge of the language introduction program are also meritorious.

Digital competence for the role and in working with young people and colleagues is meritorious.

Experience working with young people in a multilingual environment is meritorious.

You must have the ability to build trusting relationships and adopt a solution-oriented approach when meeting with students, colleagues, and other contacts. You enjoy collaborating and see it as a success factor. You are good at planning and appreciate order and structure.
