Your new job

As a nursing assistant (undersköterska) here, you work closely with our residents and actively contribute to their well-being and security. The work is stimulating and varied, and you meet many people with different backgrounds and needs, making every day unique.

For example, you assist with meals, personal hygiene, and daily chores such as cleaning and laundry. Your duties also include medication management according to delegation and social documentation in our operational systems. Another important part of your role is being a key contact person. For some residents, you have a special responsibility for drawing up and following up on implementation plans, ensuring well-being, and maintaining contact with relatives.

You collaborate closely with colleagues, coordinators, and unit managers, and have regular contact with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant. If you have longer experience in the care and nursing profession as a care aide, this can replace the educational requirement. Previous professional experience in care and nursing is an advantage.

You have a good command of the Swedish language in speech, writing, and reading comprehension, as the work involves daily contact with residents, colleagues, as well as documentation and information gathering. You have good computer skills and feel confident using digital tools in your daily work.

We believe you thrive in a busy everyday life and have the ability to remain calm even in unforeseen or acute situations. You are flexible and have an easy time independently planning and performing your work with good quality. You value, just like we do, good collaboration among colleagues and act with both the individual's and the business's best interests in focus. The work requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a way adapted to the situation.

Welcome to us

Vilhelmsrogården Elderly Care Home is located on Strandängen, approximately five kilometers north of Jönköping's city center, and consists of nine units with a total of 90 apartments. Here you will find flexible and varied work where your contribution makes a difference in the lives of citizens. Vilhelmsrogården Elderly Care Home is staffed around the clock, and you will belong to a team consisting of approximately 100 nursing assistants and care aides, as well as four unit managers. We work based on the citizens' needs with a health-promoting approach. Our focus is that the citizens living at Vilhelmsrogården should feel secure and receive good treatment.

Good to know

The salary supplement is time-limited, as is the fact that the business has a shorter work week, and this time is for wellness/recovery and/or competence development. The recruitment concerns permanent positions as nursing assistants, or alternatively care aides, for both special housing and housing with a focus on cognitive impairment. The positions are full-time, with access according to agreement, and working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend, where you work two weekends out of four. Time-limited temporary positions may also be relevant in this recruitment.

The Municipality of Jönköping works with full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment. Resource shifts occur, which means that all or part of your work shift may, if necessary, be assigned to another unit within our operations.
