About the position at Bysjöstrand

Bysjöstrand is Ockelbo Municipality's special housing facility. The facility has 4 wards for dementia care, 2 wards for somatic care, and one ward for short-term stays. Approximately 90 employees work at Bysjöstrand.

Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks will be to provide care and support to our residents in accordance with the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act. We work in close collaboration with licensed personnel, such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Your duties include, among other things:

• Documentation in Treserva.
• Contact with relatives.
• Social activities with the residents.
• Delegated health and medical tasks, such as medication administration and rehabilitative activities.

At Bysjöstrand, we work with a key worker model and place great emphasis on individual knowledge and personal contact with each resident. Daily work involves continuous documentation and record-keeping.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse (undersköterska). We would appreciate it if you have:

• Knowledge of and previous experience working with the elderly.
• Experience working from a rehabilitative approach.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing (required due to documentation duties).
• Knowledge of the systems Treserva and Tes (meritorious).

To be successful in this role, you have good social skills and understand the importance of a well-functioning collaboration with colleagues and other functions within the operation. As a person, you are responsible, creative, and patient. You prioritize well and work methodically at a high pace. In your professional role, you value good treatment highly and meet each resident based on their individual needs.

Fixed-term employment, duration 3–6 months.
