Assistive Devices Service meets the needs of both users and prescribers. Our assistive device consultants and fitting technicians carefully evaluate every assistive device. They must be sustainable, safe, easy to use, and usable by different age groups.

Job Description

As an assistive device consultant, you will have the opportunity to utilize your full knowledge, experience, and creativity. Through various measures, you can make a significant difference for people with assistive device needs. You are part of a consultation team with broad competence, where you together contribute to a good life for people with disabilities. You work consultatively and provide expert support to healthcare providers in Östergötland regarding assistive devices. You conduct fittings, training, handle adaptations and special adaptations of assistive devices, together with our technicians.

Your main tasks include:

• providing information and advice regarding assistive devices
• providing consultative support to prescribers
• conducting training for prescribers
• participating in procurement and assortment work
• order processing, preparation, and other documentation

About You

We are looking for you who have broad experience with assistive devices for adults and/or children. As an assistive device consultant, you have the opportunity to focus on one or several product areas, and we provide you with ongoing development within the competence area. The team is jointly responsible for handling all incoming assignments from healthcare providers within the framework of the entire assortment. In Östergötland, our customers are both Region Östergötland and the county's thirteen municipalities.

You are a licensed physiotherapist with several years of experience in the profession and in working with assistive device prescriptions and fittings. You master the Swedish language very well in both speech and writing. You are a proficient computer user with good knowledge of Office programs and have a valid driver's license for cars as well as good driving skills.

To provide good service in the role of assistive device consultant, you need:

• the ability to shift focus and adapt to changing circumstances
• good collaboration skills
• good pedagogical skills
• a service-oriented attitude

About the Position and Application

This is a temporary position covering a colleague's parental leave, estimated duration full-time for at least one year starting from August 15, 2025.
