Welcome to develop with us

We are looking for a District Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse for hourly employment

We are part of the Social Services Administration, which is now preparing to create the social services of the future. Since January 1, 2024, we have had a target-group-adapted organization that supports a process-based working method. The administration's core operations are divided into two areas: individual and family care, and disability services. The Disability Services area is divided into three sections: Functional support, preventive measures, and authority functions; Housing and health care; and Employment, home support, and support for children. The comprehensive responsibility of Disability Services, covering both authority functions and service providers, offers good collaboration benefits, shorter and simpler decision-making paths, and the ability to easily "pivot" based on the needs of the target group.

Do you want to work in a dynamic and idea-rich environment where teamwork is the focus? The Housing and Health Care area is responsible for the operation of 23 LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) housing units under municipal management, as well as health and medical care interventions within the social board's area of responsibility. The Support and Health Team has medical responsibility for special housing and day activities according to LSS, as well as special housing within Social Psychiatry. The team consists of a operations manager, nurses, occupational therapists, and assistant nurses. We are now looking for a sharp colleague with specialist training in psychiatry and LSS to join our team. Do you want to be part of our journey and take our operations to the next level?

Your assignment

The assignment involves responsibility for health and medical care interventions at LSS housing, day activities, and social psychiatry housing. You have great opportunities and, at the same time, significant responsibility to influence your own work towards this varied target group. Tasks may include assessing health status, taking samples, administering injections, performing wound dressing changes, prescribing incontinence aids, inserting catheters, or managing medications. The tasks also include mentoring and training nursing staff in health and medical care matters.

As a person, you are responsible, self-reliant, and able to adapt your working method to the situation. You are committed to working with the target group and understand the importance of creating and maintaining good relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues. You actively contribute to quality development in your area and collaborate with both healthcare providers within the region and other partners. We are currently undergoing a journey towards increased digitalization, so we require you to have digital competence and an interest in implementing new solutions.

We will also establish a crisis team in the coming years for proactive work according to the new Social Services Act.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays, excluding evenings and weekends.

What we are looking for in you:

  • You are a licensed nurse, district nurse, and specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry, with several years of professional experience.
  • You have knowledge and experience with the LSS target group, as well as training in NPF (neurodevelopmental disorders) (psychoses, EPIS, comorbidity, and suicide/self-harm behavior).
  • You have experience working with cognitive aids. You enjoy working in a team and are positive towards change and development work.
  • You have very good communication skills, both in meetings with people and in writing.
  • You are proactive, flexible, and see opportunities rather than obstacles.
  • You have an empathetic and unbiased perspective.
  • You hold a B driver's license and are comfortable driving a car in your role.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with persons with functional impairments and/or psychiatric diagnoses in outpatient care.
  • Knowledge about aging in relation to diagnoses within LSS.
  • Experience working with aids or support regarding diet and activities.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

What we can offer you

An engaging and challenging job that develops and challenges you, together with knowledgeable colleagues. We have free access to the gym in the town hall and a wellness allowance.

If you have any questions, contact: Simone Steffen - Operations Manager 08-606 73 88

We offer varied work in a team that works on common assignments and is a resource for each other. For your support, you have access to the Municipal Public Health Nurse (MAS) and other partners within the municipality. We offer good conditions for further development and a modern working method with secure digital systems.

Apply today!

In this recruitment, we have already made our choices of advertising channels and partners. We kindly but firmly decline all forms of assistance with the recruitment from external parties.

Employment can only take place after an acceptable extract from the Police Register has been obtained.
