Your responsibilities

As a nurse in the on-call service, you work with patients within home healthcare, care homes, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry throughout Linköping Municipality. The work involves both planned and urgent interventions where you are responsible for medical assessments, prioritization, and care measures based on the patients' needs. You meet patients in their own homes and in municipal housing, which provides varied and independent work with a broad scope.

The assignment includes, among other things, medication management, work with medical technical equipment, as well as counseling and support for nursing staff. During shifts, you collaborate closely with your colleagues. Incoming cases are received via phone and distributed within the work group; a specific function exists for this so you can focus on the patient. The work requires that you can make independent assessments while also enjoying collaborating and supporting others in complex situations.

The operation is in a development phase with great opportunities to participate and influence both working methods and the continued development of the operation. There is an opportunity to influence employment rate and schedule; your working hours will be scheduled during evenings and nights, with the possibility of daytime shifts during weekends. Weekend duty is included.

The on-call service is based at Ålerydsvägen 5 and is responsible for on-call interventions within municipal health and medical care throughout Linköping Municipality. Here, nurses with different experience backgrounds and competencies work, contributing to a work group with broad knowledge and good collegial support. The work group is characterized by consideration, joy, and engagement, and we value an open work climate where employees are given the opportunity to take responsibility and contribute new ideas.

The on-call service in Linköping Municipality operates between 16:00-08:00 on weekdays and around the clock on weekends and public holidays.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have experience working in the profession. It is meritorious if you have experience from municipal health and medical care and telephone counseling.

For the position, you are required to have a B driving license, good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.

As a person, you are secure, independent, and have the ability to prioritize and make decisions even in situations where the pace varies. You collaborate well with others and have a professional and service-oriented approach in meetings with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are flexible and adapt easily to changed conditions and different care needs.
