At the Northern Military District (MR N), you will have a broad field of work with great variation in tasks within a developing defense medical area. The work will involve collaboration where your specialist skills will develop the operations. In many committees, you will participate in cooperation with county administrative boards, municipalities, and regions.

About the Unit

You will belong to the MR N staff, located in Boden. The MR N staff handles operations from Härnösand in the south to Kiruna in the north, with primary territorial responsibility. The responsibility includes 5 training groups that manage 7 Home Guard battalions, which are directly subordinate to the commanders of C MR N.

You will work primarily within the J4 Logistics Division. In addition to defense medicine, the division handles supply logistics, technical services, and transport services.

Main Responsibilities

As the Swedish Armed Forces are growing, the responsibilities may develop. The Staff Doctor at MR N staff is responsible for military aspects of healthcare within the military district and in cooperation with the total defense. In this role, the Doctor leads the administrative parts and development of healthcare in subordinate Home Guard units with medical groups, doctors, and nurses. The work involves great variation in tasks, and cooperation is a large part of the duties. The work involves some travel within Sweden and the military district.

Depending on previous competencies, internal training within the Swedish Armed Forces may become relevant.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with specialist degree (specialization not specified)
• Experience in medical management within units, defense health, or equivalent civil experience

Personal Qualities

You have good social skills and good situational adaptability regarding both your own leadership and teamwork. You are stress-resistant and enduring, with a good ability to improvise. You have good analytical skills, and we appreciate experience in pedagogy. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

• Reserve officer training, completed conscription/military basic training, or equivalent as assessed by the employer
• Good knowledge of MS-Office

The Northern Military District (MR N) is responsible for terrestrial territorial command in the four northern counties. The region consists of a staff and five training groups. The operations are located from Kiruna in the north to Härnösand in the south. At MR N, there are seven Home Guard battalions and several support functions.
