We are looking for

We are looking for you who have completed assistant nurse education and have held a B-driver's license for at least three years. The position requires a passed physical fitness test and a passed driving test. It is meritorious if you have ambulance nurse education, experience in prehospital work or emergency care, as well as experience with the medical record system Mobimed. Knowledge of Meänkieli, Finnish, and/or Sami is also considered meritorious.

You work independently, take initiative, and have the ability to prioritize and act based on the needs of the operations and the patient. The role involves many meetings with patients, relatives, and collaborating partners, which requires good empathy and professional interaction. You are communicative, receptive, and have an easy time building trusting relationships.

What you will work with

Within ambulance care, you will work in a unique societal function consisting of providing prehospital emergency care around the clock, where employees meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury in the patient's home, in outdoor environments, or at accident or injury sites. Together with a licensed nurse, you are the ambulance crew that is often first on the scene, and your competence comes into use as you, together with the nurse, make the first important assessment and perform the most urgent care. The nurse has medical responsibility and decides on nursing and medical measures based on care needs and refers to the correct level of care, but the work is a team effort.

Information about the position

We can offer you a permanent position or a temporary one. The positions are full-time and the working hours are scheduled around the clock. Selection and interviews take place continuously, and the positions may be filled before the last application date.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
