to apply for the job
Our wonderful team is looking for a new colleague – is it you? Do you want a varied job where your skills are utilized and challenged? Are you an emergency nurse or a specialist nurse with other suitable specialist training, such as in anesthesia, acute care, or intensive care (ICU)? Then apply for a vital job within ambulance care and become our new colleague!
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have held a category B driver's license continuously for at least three years. The position requires passing physical fitness tests and a driving test. If you have specialist training in anesthesia, intensive care, emergency care, or ambulance care, we consider this a merit. Experience in prehospital work or other emergency operations, experience with the medical record system Mobimed, and knowledge of Meänkieli, Finnish, and/or Sami are also considered merits. A C1 or C driver's license is also an advantage.
We place great importance on personal qualities. To succeed in the role, we see that you are a mature person who has the ability to make well-founded decisions even in complex and rapidly changing situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a professional approach when meeting patients, relatives, and colleagues. We particularly value your empathetic ability and your ability to treat others with respect, sensitivity, and understanding. The role places high demands on good communication, meaning you can adapt your communication style to the situation and the recipient, as well as build trusting relationships.
What you will work with
In ambulance care, you will work in a unique societal function, providing prehospital emergency care around the clock. Employees meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury – in the patient's home, outdoors, or at an accident or injury site. Together with an ambulance care assistant or another nurse, you are the ambulance crew often first on the scene. It is you, as the emergency nurse, who makes the first important assessment, performs the most urgent care, holds medical responsibility, and decides on nursing and medical measures based on care needs, referring to the appropriate level of care. You encounter various situations and challenges where your intervention can be decisive for the patient and make a difference for other people. In the crew, you work in close cooperation with each other and other professional groups.
What we offer you
- We offer introduction and supervision within the ambulance service based on previous experience and personal needs.
- Personal schedule with Timecare.
- Training days and time for professional development.
- PS training, training in Acute Management in Hostile Environments (AMHE), and CPR training.
- Colleagues with strong commitment and high competence.
- A vital and independent job with great responsibility.
- Development and career opportunities where you get to help shape the health and care of the future.
- Health-promoting workplaces with access to fitness activities and fitness allowances.
