The Operations

Hemgården is a special housing facility for the elderly in Skinnskatteberg Municipality. Here you will find the departments Granen and Furan, as well as the short-term care facility Viljan. There are a total of 24 apartments distributed across the Granen and Furan departments, and 10 short-term care places at Viljan. At Hemgården, we work in teams with several different professional groups, such as care assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, physiotherapists, administrators, and unit managers.

Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse, your role includes documenting according to SoL (Social Services Act) and HSL (Health and Medical Services Act), and ensuring that interventions are carried out in accordance with current decisions and routines. You are responsible for and handle delegated tasks from licensed personnel and work actively to ensure that the individual receives safe and dignified support based on their individual needs. The role of assistant nurse also includes being a key contact person, which means you have a central role in creating safety and continuity for the resident and their relatives. You provide support in both major and minor matters, within care, social aspects, and meaningful activities. The work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, and relatives, and you are an important part of the team surrounding the resident.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse with a certificate of protected professional title. You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to communicate with users and other staff, and to document what the operations and work require in writing. Experience from working in elderly care is an advantage.

Personal Qualities

You have the ability to put the user at the center and are a communicative person who appreciates collaboration with others. You have a calm and empathetic approach, can take personal responsibility, and meet every individual with warmth and respect. The daily work can change quickly when situations do not go as planned, which requires great flexibility. Therefore, it is important that you can easily adapt to new situations and handle changes in a positive way.

Working Hours and Duration

The position is full-time and permanent. Start date by agreement. Interviews may begin before the application period has ended. Before employment, an extract from the criminal record register must be presented.

Other Information

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of personal status together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
