Stöcksjö School is located in an area where nature is close at hand. The beautiful local environment is used naturally in the work. There are approximately 120 students at the school. We have small classes and the school is parallel. Our goal is to prepare the students as best as possible for the future. They should get to grow and feel the joy of learning. Your responsibilities

The role involves providing active and close support to students in need of extra adjustments and special support during both school hours and leisure time. The work means being a continuous support for the students throughout the day, with a focus on promoting their knowledge development, removing obstacles in learning, and supporting them in situations that require social interaction.

You help students develop their abilities in a safe and adapted learning environment, at a pace that is based on each student's individual needs. The goal is for students to be given the best possible conditions to develop both academically and socially. During leisure time activities, routine tasks according to the leisure center's assignment according to the curriculum are also included.

In the absence of the regular teacher, work as a substitute in the class may become relevant.

About you

You are a secure adult and a good role model. You also have the ability to connect with the students. You see every individual and create a safe environment in the school and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support as you are a very important part of their school day.

You have good cooperation skills, are receptive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students and for the target group, other important professional groups. You have good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach towards the children, relatives, and other actors around the students. You are engaged and have a desire to share our values and work towards set goals as well as working with continuous improvements. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Trained childcare worker
• Experience working with children in need of extraordinary support
• Experience with students with different types of functional variations/ND (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
• Knowledge of low-affective handling
• Experience working in a leisure center
• Experience working with younger students (6-10 years)
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Valid extract from the criminal record, due to the Act on Suitability Control

Merits

• Knowledge/experience of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
• Pedagogical competence through education, for example

Due to sparse public transport that does not match working hours, we would appreciate it if you had a B-driving license and access to your own car, however, this is not a requirement if you can get to the workplace in another way.
