Join our team as a Steam Turbine and Valve Specialist / Supervisor for maintenance projects at Swedish nuclear power plants and become part of the dynamic environment at Vattenfall's nuclear power plants across Sweden. You will lead mechanical maintenance activities for steam turbines, valves, and auxiliary systems, ensuring that every task is performed with precision and accuracy.
You will work closely with both internal and external partners – from daily coordination with site managers to collaboration with Vattenfall’s project teams and leading subcontractors. Every day, you drive issues related to safety, quality, and collaboration, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of critical energy infrastructure.
How You Will Make an Impact
Prepare interventions by organizing site logistics, transport, and verifying Vattenfall-specific tools
Work in shifts and always adhere to working time and rest period regulations
Perform mechanical work such as disassembly, inspection, repairs, replacements, and reassembly according to Siemens Energy’s work instructions
Identify mechanical deviations and immediately inform site management
Take responsibility for mechanical turbine components, lead technicians, and ensure HSE compliance, quality control, and correct documentation
Manage work permits and hot work permits, and report progress to shift leaders
What You Bring
In-depth knowledge of mechanics for pressurized rotating machinery
Valid authority or Vattenfall-specific permits and certifications (e.g., lifting/securement, scaffolding, forklift, blade work, welding)
Good knowledge of English and fluent Swedish
Experience leading teams and managing site documentation
Willingness to travel to Vattenfall’s nuclear power plants across Sweden
About the Team
You will become part of a dedicated Field Service team focused on delivering first-class mechanical maintenance at Vattenfall’s nuclear power plants. The team works closely with Field Service Managers, site managers, and technical experts to ensure smooth planning and execution of outages.
You will interact daily with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors – all with a common goal of maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and operational excellence. Together, you contribute to ensuring a reliable and efficient energy supply in Sweden.
Within the Gas Services division, we offer zero or low-emission energy solutions based on our gas turbines, combined with steam turbines and generators. Through service, modernization, and digitalization of the delivered fleet, we create opportunities for a reduced climate footprint.
