Björkgården Dementia Home is a facility within Healthcare and Social Care, where the resident's wishes and needs are always at the center. We have recently renovated our premises to better adapt the environment to our operations. We strive to make the premises as homely as possible, with each ward uniquely designed and having its own spaces for offices, cleaning, laundry, and storage.

Through the support of the Kamprad Foundation, we have provided dementia care training for all staff, and the facility has been Silviahemscertified since March 2024.

Job Responsibilities

Together with other staff, you are responsible for the planning and execution of person-centered care work where quality and safety are the focus. We work based on a contact person model, which means that the care we provide always stems from each individual's needs and conditions. A warm, respectful, and professional attitude towards our residents and their relatives is a natural part of your work.

The position includes documentation in our operational system, Combine.

We apply a schedule with day and evening shifts, as well as weekend duties four times every ten weeks.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you need the ability to see the person behind the dementia diagnosis and find different ways to add a golden touch to daily life and give the residents a sense of meaning. You are flexible, meticulous, and responsible in how you carry out your tasks, and you have a good ability to prioritize and plan your work, both individually and together with your colleagues.

You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is important for documentation and communication with our residents and their relatives.

You must be a trained nursing assistant (undersköterska), and we would appreciate if you have a few years of experience in dementia care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
