The role of assistant nurse

Within the surgical clinic, patients are cared for who undergo various examinations and treatments with both planned and acute surgeries. The work is team-based and divided into two care wards. There is also an emergency duty, which means there is great variation. Your tasks include nursing care, pre- and postoperative care, sampling, and documentation.

Your future workplace

The surgical clinic's unit in Jönköping is part of the surgical clinic in Region Jönköping County. The clinic consists of five surgical teams: acute, upper gastro, lower gastro, vascular, breast/endocrine, and ENT. Most teams have nursing developers who, together with the responsible team doctor, work on developing care routines and maintaining competence on the ward. We have a strong patient focus and there is constant improvement and development work at our clinic.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse, and we would appreciate it if you have experience working on a care ward, preferably within surgical care. We want you to be interested in improvement work and in developing our work at the clinic. As a person, you are good at collaborating, but also at driving your work independently. You are receptive, take initiative, and have a good attitude towards both colleagues and patients. Furthermore, you need to be structured and confident in your professional role.
