In the autumn of 2025, Lillåkers Resource School was established. This new resource school, with a focus on autism, is located in newly renovated premises on Lidingö, where all students follow the national curriculum for compulsory school. We offer you the opportunity to continue developing an amazing operation for students who require that little extra support. Job Responsibilities
In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for working as a class teacher for your own class together with a colleague. You are independent, driven, and responsible, and have experience in meeting and teaching students within the neurodevelopmental disorder (NPD) spectrum. Your work will involve:
- Working preventively and operationally to support students in need of adjustments and special support.
- Teaching and developing instruction together with colleagues, and creating accessible and inclusive learning environments.
- Conducting assessments, observations, and pedagogical tests to improve student learning, in collaboration with the lead special needs teacher for the age group.
- Supervising support pedagogical staff in your classroom and implementing adjustments at both individual and group levels.
- Actively participating in the school's work on student health promotion and building good relationships with students and guardians.
Qualifications and Merits
To work with us, you need to have:
- Teacher certification with eligibility for grades F–3, or alternatively eligibility for grades 4–6 in Swedish, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Natural Sciences.
- The ability to work with various teaching methods and create inclusive learning environments.
- Experience in mentoring and collaborating with other pedagogical staff.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
We would also appreciate if you have:
- Eligibility in English.
- Experience working at a resource school or within special support.
- Good knowledge of autism and other needs for special support.
Employment Terms and Conditions
Employment type: Fixed-term employment (one-year temporary position).
Start date: August 2026 or as agreed.
Salary: The municipality applies individual salary setting.
