Information Security Strateg for Gullspång and Töreboda Municipalities

Are you interested in information security and data protection? Gullspång and Töreboda municipalities are seeking a driven individual with experience in information security work who wants to help shape the future of security efforts.

The position of Information Security Strategist is a joint function for Gullspång and Töreboda municipalities. The employment is located in Gullspång Municipality, and working hours are distributed between the two municipalities. Your workplace will be located at the municipal offices in Hova and Töreboda.

You will become part of a competent and engaged security team working on security issues across various areas for both municipalities. Information security work is also carried out in collaboration with the IT department, which is also shared between Töreboda and Gullspång municipalities. You will belong to the Support and Strategy unit, which, in addition to security issues, works with communication, administration, public health, urban planning, tourism, and business.

Responsibilities

Information security is important for increasing employee awareness and is a prerequisite for the municipality's operations to function. In your role, you will drive and coordinate the information security work.

The work includes:

• driving, coordinating, and following up on information security work in Gullspång and Töreboda municipalities
• providing support and advice to operations within the information security area
• being an important part of crisis preparedness work by adding an information security perspective to work such as risk and vulnerability analysis, security protection, and continuity planning
• creating, following up on, and revising steering documents for information security
• handling information security incidents
• planning and conducting training within information security
• developing models for information classification and risk analysis
• ensuring that there is a functioning management system for information security
• serving as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the various boards of both municipalities and, together with operations and the IT department, driving data protection work forward

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we want you to:

• have relevant education or experience working with information security and data protection
• be curious and able to conduct active environmental scanning
• enjoy having an advisory role and also working operationally
• enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and being a team player who wants to collaborate
• work in a structured manner
• express yourself well in speech and writing, be communicative and pedagogical
• have a B driver's license

It is also meritorious if you have:

• previous experience with municipal operations and security work
• experience in building and maintaining management systems
• knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27000
• certifications in the security field
