Job Description
As a special needs teacher or special educator at SiS Youth Home Rebecka, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the young people's schooling runs smoothly and that the learning environment is adapted to individual needs. You will work closely with students in teaching those who require special support. You will also collaborate closely with teachers to develop the school's special educational competence. Your duties include handling documentation such as pedagogical investigations and action plans, as well as acting as a support person in pedagogical matters at various levels within the organization. In the school's student health team, you have a key role in coordinating and following up on agreed adjustments and measures. You will also work closely with treatment staff, as education is often part of the young people's treatment.
Qualifications
You are trained as a special educator or special needs teacher, or are currently undergoing such training, with special educational competence. Through education and/or experience, you have good knowledge of how education within, for example, introduction programs and primary/upper secondary school is organized and operated. You are driven by developing learning environments that meet the needs of students with a wide variety of prerequisites. You are a good collaborator and have an unpretentious approach. You have strong analytical skills and see opportunities rather than obstacles. The ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues and students is crucial in your work. You need to be flexible and enjoy change.
It is meritorious if you have experience in similar work, as well as investigative and mapping work, preferably within SiS.
At SiS, we value good employee relations. This means that as an employee, you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee relations.
