About the role

Algeno is an innovative software company that uses AI to optimize heating systems in buildings. Through data-driven control, they help property owners reduce energy consumption, costs, and climate impact – without compromising on indoor comfort.

The company is in a growth phase and is now looking for a Frontend Developer who wants to take overall responsibility for their web applications and customer interfaces. The role involves working closely with both technology and business, focusing on developing a data-heavy interface used by some of Sweden's largest property owners. This is an opportunity for a developer who wants to work in a small, technically strong team while having significant influence over the product's development.

This is a direct hire. This means you will be employed by Algeno, and we at Maxitech are a recruitment partner to Algeno.

Responsibilities

You will work in a modern tech stack where new technologies and tools are integrated quickly as opportunities arise. The current tech stack includes React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Drizzle, shadcn/ui, and TanStack Query. Additionally, you will:

• Develop and further develop Algeno's web application.
• Work with data-heavy flows, visualization, and user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend with backend and databases (PostgreSQL).
• Take overall responsibility for new features in the application, from idea and design to implementation.
• Participate in debugging and some operations related to customer solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and the rest of the team regarding priorities and backlog.
• Contribute to improving user experience and design.

Your profile

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of experience in frontend development.
• Experience with the React ecosystem, including both client and server components.
• Experience working with data-heavy applications.
• Experience building end-to-end flows, from database and API to interface.
• Fluent in Swedish and good command of English.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in design and UX.
• Personal projects or a strong technical interest outside of work.
