Welcome to the Department of Child and Adolescent Medicine at Östersund Hospital

We are currently looking for a specialist physician to join our team in Child and Adolescent Medicine. The position offers varied work with a broad range of pediatric issues in both outpatient and inpatient care.

Responsibilities and Work Environment

In inpatient care, you will rotate as a ward physician across two departments: the Child and Adolescent Ward and the Neonatal Ward. There is an opportunity to deepen your expertise in the area that best suits your previous experience. In outpatient care, you will participate in one to two subspecialized teams based on your background.

Your responsibilities include contributing to the development of medical care, such as integrating new findings and updating care programs. You will also play a key supervisory role for junior colleagues as an ST-supervisor and for the clinic work of ST-doctors. The position includes on-call duties.

You will join a cheerful and driven team that supports each other across various pediatric subspecialties. We invest in upskilling our own staff to provide good and close care to patients within Region Jämtland Härjedalen whenever possible. For highly specialized care, we collaborate closely with other regions. Research is conducted in several areas, and the clinic hosts several doctoral students.

• Specialist degree in Child and Adolescent Medicine.
• Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability, including good teamwork skills.
