Your new job

You work from a health-promoting approach, focusing on strengthening the individual's abilities and creating a meaningful daily life. Tasks include personal care and nursing, activation, and social interaction, as well as contributing to a meaningful daily life through activities such as outdoor visits and exercise.

The role also involves service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal handling, and shopping. You perform simple wound dressings, support daily rehabilitation, and provide end-of-life care. You serve as the primary contact person for a number of residents and are responsible for their implementation plans.

Documentation is also a crucial part of the job and is done continuously in our journal system, Combine. You also perform delegated health and medical care tasks, such as medication management. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues on the unit and licensed healthcare professionals.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse. Previous professional experience within care and elderly care is desirable. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and possess good computer skills and are comfortable with digital documentation.

The job requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a manner adapted to the situation.

As a person, you have a genuine commitment to helping other people. You are secure in your professional role and work independently, while also being team-oriented and relationship-building. Welcome to us

The Social Services Department's task is to ensure that everyone residing in Jönköping Municipality, based on political mandates and according to current legislation, has their basic needs for support, care, and security met. The Social Services Department covers the functions of elderly care, disability support, individual and family care, and health and medical care services.

Kristinedal Elderly Care Home is located in Väster, Jönköping, and has just over 70 permanent and fixed-term employees. The home is distributed over three floors. Floor 2 is a dementia unit, Floor 3 is a short-term unit, and Floor 4 is a somatic unit. Each unit comprises a total of 20 apartments.

Good to know

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date in August or as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays and weekends.

You must be able to work irregular hours and be flexible in period planning as it is adapted to the needs of the operations. Resource shifts occur, which means working in several of the facility's units.
