BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of BUP En väg in, as well as six neuropsychiatric clinics so far: Nordost (Mörby), Nordväst (Solna), Sydost (Sickla), Sydväst (Älvsjö), and Väst 1 and 2 (Brommaplan). This autumn, we are also launching Sydväst 2. The mission is urgent and shared: to assess and treat children and young people with neuropsychiatric difficulties. Here, doctors, psychologists, nurses, medical secretaries, and managers collaborate to provide our patients with accessible, efficient, and patient-focused care. The work climate at BUP Neuropsychiatry is characterized by development orientation, high competence, and quality.
The units work with medical treatment, assessments, and investigations where the issue is neuropsychiatric difficulties.
Responsibilities
As a specialist physician, your main responsibilities are to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments of children and young people together with a psychologist, according to national guidelines and BUP's process maps, and to initiate medical treatment upon completion of the assessment, monitoring its effects in a team with a nurse. You serve as a support for colleagues during treatment conferences and case assessments from your professional perspective as a doctor. You, like all employees, are an important part of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to continuous development by participating in the ongoing development work of the activity. Currently, approximately 20 other specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry work within the section.
Qualifications
You, as the applicant, must be a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry and have clinical work experience in the field. You are accustomed to working according to new research and evidence-based methods.

Employment Type
Permanent, full-time. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement. On-call duties may be included.

About Us
BUP Danderyd 2 is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 in Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Services (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we are approximately 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families every year.
The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
In patient-facing roles within Stockholm County Healthcare Services:
- a register check is applied before a decision on employment is made, according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
