About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you will work in our metal treatment facility, where we process steam generators as part of our nuclear-related activities. The position involves shift work on a continuous 3-shift system, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

In this role, you are a vital part of daily production and are responsible for ensuring that work is performed safely, with high quality, and according to established instructions. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, participating regularly in improvement and optimization efforts regarding working methods, equipment, and safety.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operation and monitoring of machinery such as band saws, CNC milling machines, tube pulling equipment, and measurement equipment for secondary waste.
• Handling of loads, including work with jacks and switching between transport saddles, rail carts, roller stands, and treatment saddles.
• Operation of remote-controlled and robotic machinery.
• Preparatory work on steam generators, such as surveying, drilling inspection holes, gas cutting of nozzles, and welding of lifting lugs.
• Operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Some hot working, such as gas cutting, oxygen lance cutting, and plasma cutting.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience from manufacturing industry and/or who has studied practical/technical programs such as industrial, electrical, or vehicle programs. To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Experience or interest in working systematically (supported by our instructions) and collaborating with colleagues to improve working methods to achieve safety and quality.
• Experience working with remote-controlled machines (e.g., Brokk machines) and/or robotic machines.
• High practical technical competence, particularly in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Experience and training in welding.
• Good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written) and English (specifically spoken).
• Category B driver's license and access to your own car.
• Good computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Good knowledge of radiation protection.
• Forklift license.
• Overhead crane license.

Terms of Employment:

Location: Studsvik outside Nyköping, on-site work.

Employment Level: Full-time, permanent position with an initial six-month probationary period. Continuous 3-shift system.
