About the role

Do you want to be part of building a new operation that makes a real difference for children and young people?

Region Dalarna's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) within the Division of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation is now seeking a Registered Nurse for the new county-wide operation Mini-Maria in Falun and Mora – accessible clinics for children and young people up to 21 years old with risky use, harmful use, or addiction, with or without psychiatric comorbidity. Here you are offered meaningful work with a clear focus on children and young people, where you have the opportunity to help build a new operation from the ground up. Mini-Maria is conducted within the framework of a county-wide collaboration between Region Dalarna and the municipalities of Dalarna, with Falu Municipality and Mora Municipality as host municipalities.

We are now looking for a nurse for the clinic in Mora with a satellite clinic in Älvdalen. The operation is planned to start in autumn 2026. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape working methods, collaboration, and content together with engaged colleagues from both the municipality and the region. The work is characterized by interdisciplinary teamwork, trust, and collaboration, with good opportunities for continuous competence development as the operation grows and develops.

Mini-Maria is a low-threshold operation that offers counseling, support, and treatment to children and young people as well as their relatives. The work is based on the individual's needs and relies on evidence-based methods and national guidelines. The main clinics in Falun and Mora will have satellite clinics in Avesta and Älvdalen that are staffed regularly. The work takes place in interdisciplinary teams together with, among others, doctors, psychologists, midwives, and therapists from the municipality.

  • Work both at the main clinic in Mora and at the satellite clinic in Älvdalen.
  • Conduct conversations both physically and digitally.
  • The work is primarily during daytime, Monday–Friday, with evening work approximately once per week.

  • Registered Nurse.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Merits:
  • Experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry.

  • Further education in psychiatric care (VUB).
  • CBT – Basic psychotherapy education (step 1).
  • Education and/or experience in treatment methods such as MI, MET, ÅP, MOVE, A-CRA, CBT, or similar evidence-based methods.
Personal qualities:

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be flexible, solution-focused, and have a needs-driven approach where you can confidently adapt interventions based on the individual you meet. You are confident in meeting children and young people as well as their relatives and have an easy time building trusting relationships.
