Habiliteringscenter Södertälje Adults is looking for a licensed psychologist

Do you want to develop together with us as a psychologist?

About Us

Habiliteringscenter Södertälje Adults is a specialist clinic belonging to the Habilitation & Health operation. We offer interventions to people over 18 years of age with congenital or early-onset disabilities that cause difficulties in daily life, such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, or physical disability. By providing advice, support, and treatment to the patient and their network, we can prevent and reduce difficulties that a disability may entail.

Here, you work in a multidisciplinary team together with occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and speech therapists. We serve residents of Botkyrka and Huddinge.

Our goal is to create the best possible conditions for a functional and meaningful daily life.

About the Position

We are now looking for a psychologist who will meet patients in our IF/RN team, which works with patients who have an intellectual disability and/or a physical disability. As a psychologist, you are responsible for the psychological perspective in close collaboration with other professional groups at the unit. The work includes, among other things:

  • Working to provide the patient and their surroundings with increased knowledge about the disability and its consequences, as well as teaching strategies to handle difficulties.
  • A consultative and advisory role for the patient and their immediate environment, both individually and in close collaboration with other professional groups here.
  • Work with psychological treatment individually and/or in groups related to the habilitation's mission.
  • Leading groups and lectures based on your professional knowledge.

We are a work group with a pleasant work climate and good working conditions. We place importance on competence development and offer a structured introduction period, specific introductory training, further in-depth staff training, and, along with collegial support and collaboration, access to case supervision. In addition to stimulating and enjoyable work, you will receive the following from us:

  • A varied job that is appreciated by both patients and their relatives.
  • A good sense of community in multidisciplinary teamwork that provides you with professional development.
  • Competence development, among other things, through our internal staff training.
  • Free healthcare.
  • A generous fitness allowance and fitness activities during working hours.
  • Flexible working hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, preferably with experience in habilitation.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You have a great interest in people with disabilities. You are engaged by trying to understand patients who rarely function according to the norm, who require major adjustments in working methods and perspective-taking, and who require that individual and creative solutions to problems be created based on their conditions. The overall purpose is for the patient to have the best possible daily life.

You are interested in the development of both your clinical work and our joint work; you like to work independently as well as in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured way based on our working methods. Here, you need to be able to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work in close collaboration with other professional categories.

Employment Type

Fixed-term position 75–100%, for 11 months with a possible opportunity for extension. Start date by agreement. Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis.

The position is filled subject to it not needing to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
